It's Day One of my training regimine. And it went so-so. I was surprised after the third one-minute running segment how hard it is! I mean, one minute of running does not seem like much at all. But it was. The fourth and fifth minutes seemed easier, but they were also labored. I guess it goes to show how rough cardio has become for me over the past couple of years of a pretty sedentary lifestyle.
It was positive that I got out there. It was cold, right at sundown and I had my kids and babies with me. Because of the cold, I only did 5 or 6 of the 10 one-minute runs. Then, I spent about 10 minutes carrying an almost 30 pound toddler girl to the car. As Brad said, I got my weight lifting in. :-)
I may not have completed the task, but I got the first step done. And they say that getting started is the hardest part.
